Nathan Massey
President and CEO Mr. Massey received a BA in Accounting and an MS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Texas. He has over 25 years of process design and process modeling experience. He has worked at Brown & Root, Mitchell Energy, and AAA Technology & Specialties Co. In 1988, he and his partners started Chemstations, Inc. to provide chemical engineering analysis software to the chemical process industries. Mr. Massey is a member of AIChE, the University of Houston’s Industrial Advisory Board, and the Houston Chamber of Commerce.

Dr. Mingder Lu
Senior Vice President and CTO Dr. Lu holds a BS in Chemical Engineering from the National Taiwan University and an MS and PhD in Chemical Engineering from Washington University in St. Louis. He held various technical positions at COADE Engineering Software, John Brown Engineering Company, and Sunny Engineering before joining Chemstations as the head of software development. He is known in the industry as one of the world’s premier experts in chemical process simulation. His responsibilities include supervising the CHEMCAD architecture and development strategy. He is a member of AIChE.

Steve Brown
Executive Vice President and COO Mr. Brown holds a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Houston and an MBA from the University of Texas – Austin. He joined Chemstations in 1993 as a Technical Support Engineer and moved into the sales division in 1995. Steve led and managed growth, first within North America and later for the entire global direct and channel operation. He is now responsible for all of the day-to-day operations of Chemstations’ business. He is a member of AIChE.

Wolfgang Schmidt
Managing Director - Chemstations Deutschland, GmbH Mr. Schmidt has studied chemistry and chemical process technology at universities in Essen, Münster, and Dortmund. He received a degree as Diplom Ingenieur TH. For more than 20 years, he worked in various companies (Dynamit Nobel, Th. Goldschmidt, Didier Engineering, CWH, Rütgers) as a chemical process engineer in various industrial fields (laboratory, technical plants, refineries) developing products and calculation methods. For many years, he worked as a teacher and professor at high schools and academies teaching physics, chemistry, and mechanics. He has used CHEMCAD since 1987 for calculation and optimization of coal tar refineries. Mr. Schmidt joined Chemstations in 1993. He is a member of the Dechema as well as of the VDI (Assoc. of German Engineers).

David Hill
Manager of Technical Support Mr. Hill holds a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Houston. He joined Chemstations in 1997 as an intern and then moved into the technical support division. David has provided technical support to hundreds of customers and has delivered training in several countries. His responsibilities include managing operations of the technical support group, providing technical expertise to distributors, and representing Chemstations at technical forums and trade shows. He is a member of AIChE.

Aaron Herrick
Manager of Development Aaron holds a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Houston. Aaron worked for two years at Wright Killen and Associates developing refinery profitability, scheduling, and laboratory information software before joining Chemstations in 1995. After more than a decade in technical support, Aaron began working with the development team in 2006. He is a member of AIChE.
